ASHES
Since 2019, we have dedicated ourselves to creating limited-edition pieces that resonate with the spirit of individuality. Our journey began with Ash's passion for design, evolving from collaborative endeavours to establishing a unique identity that celebrates the beauty of upcycled and vintage textiles.
At ASHES, we believe that clothing should not only enhance your style but also tell a story. Each piece is thoughtfully curated for a creative lifestyle. We take pride in our commitment to the environment, ensuring that our garments are made to last, allowing them to be cherished and passed on through generations.
As an independent designer and lover of the earth, Ash continues to explore new collaborations, fostering connections that enrich the ASHES house. We invite you to join us on this journey, where fashion meets purpose, and every piece is a testament to the art of sustainable living.

PIECE OF WORK ART / REWIND
Creating since she was a child, Susan is a self taught artist, seamstress and designer. She laughs when she says, “Barbie was my first client when I was 4!” As a teen, growing up in the 70’s and 80’s in Cape Breton, NS her creativity blossomed from found inspiration in the latest fashion magazines. She and her friends would love to go out, often creating a scene, wearing her unique and glamorous creations. (The early disrupters…Some things never change!)
Through the years her talents were used to create her children’s wear line called Wow Wee Sport and a women’s sportswear line, Fame & Fashion all the while indulging her passions of art and painting. Creative passions are fuelled as Susan draws inspiration on the street and in the galleries, thrift, fabric and art stores. This creativity has now come full circle in her label REWIND. Sourcing pre-loved pieces she gives them new life by often reconstructing and then embellishing them with paint, trims, jewels and found items. From this a collection of sustainable and reincarnated street couture, “art you wear” is born. With a new outlook comes new life.
